Why is there no next day delivery option?

As part of our brand, we do not hold lots of stock unnecessarily in order to reduce wastage and positively impact the environment. As part of this, each individual item is made to order and exclusively filled and sealed when you checkout. Delivery times take our manufacturing and production times into account.

What delivery methods do you use?

US orders are shipped via UPS.

EU and UK orders are shipped via FedEx.

Are your products suitable for children?

We do not recommend using our skincare products for children under the age of 12 years old. Since skin at such a young age is still developing, it doesn't need extra treatment or supplements, as it can leave a lasting impact on the skin later on.

Are your products safe to use during pregnancy?

All of our products are formulated with clean ingredients and undergo safety checks, however they have not been specifically tested on pregnant or breastfeeding women. We recommend checking the ingredients list of any of our products with your healthcare provider to address any concerns you may have.

Can I use your products around the eyes?

Please see each specific product page for more information. For those with sensitive skin, products that can be used around the eyes can be applied to a cotton pad first, pressing gently before wiping.

Are your products gluten free and nut free?

All of our products are gluten free, so are suitable for those with a topical wheat allergy. Most of our products are also nut free, with the exception of the 'Brightening Eye Cream' and the 'Nourishing Facial Oil' which do contain nut-based ingredients.

Are your products cruelty-free and vegan?

All of our skincare is cruelty-free and vegan. This means that no animal testing is conducted or commissioned for any of our products or ingredients and that all ingredients are organic and natural without any animal-derived components. This is further solidified by ECOCERT certification, ensuring that our practices meet rigorous ethical standards.

What does the ECOCERT certification mean for your products?

In order to adhere to the ECOCERT Cosmos standards, the makeup of all of our products must be at least 95% natural, and in order to be classified as organic, at least 10% must come from organic farming.

Are the fragrances in your products natural?

Yes, we do not use synthetic fragrances. All of our fragrance compositions are 100% vegan and are carefully curated using natural aromatic substances, with no synthetic preservatives involved.

Do you have phthalates in the fragrances you use?

The perfume compositions we use do NOT contain phthalates. Phthalates are synthetic, raw materials, but the fragrance compositions in our products are made from natural raw materials.

A particular product states that it is fragrance-free, so why does it have an aroma?

No added fragrance is present. The subtle herbal and floral aroma comes naturally from the plant extracts.

Why do some of your products contain alcohol?

Alcohol is used in our products primarily as a natural preservative to maintain product stability and ensure a longer shelf life. In certified natural cosmetics, only natural ethyl alcohol is permitted. This is derived from fermented plant sources. Unlike alcohol in 'disinfecting' products, its concentration is low and balanced with soothing oils and/or humectants, so it does not dry or irritate sensitive skin.

Are your products free from parabens, microplastics, silicones, mineral oil and its derivatives?

Yes, all of our products are free from parabens, mineral oils, silicones, PEG, chemical UV filters, microplastics, synthetic fragrances and artificial colourants.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Most of our products have a general shelf life of 2 years from the date of production. Once opened, our products have a validity period that ranges from 3 to 24 months. It's essential to note that the expiration date is also listed on the packaging, providing you with a clear guideline on the product's usability.

What is the shelf life and PAO for airless packaging products?

Airless packaging helps to keep some of our products fresh by preventing air from entering the container. Because of this, the Period After Opening (PAO) is not specified. Instead, you only need to look at the 'best before' date printed on the product. This ensures that you can use our products safely and effectively up until the "best before" date, regardless of when you open them. Always check this date to make sure your product is within its optimal usage period.

How should I store your products?

It is advisable to store your Dear Sherie products in a dry, cool place with a temperature ranging between 10-20 degrees Celsius (50-68 degrees Fahrenheit). Extreme temperatures can affect the stability and efficacy of the product and high humidity levels can introduce moisture, leading to bacterial growth or spoilage.

Direct exposure to sunlight can speed up the aging process of your products, causing them to expire quicker. The UV rays can break down the active ingredients, making them less effective.

My order froze during shipping, can I still use it?

Our products are formulated with cold weather in mind. If your product freezes during shipping, it is still safe to use after it returns to its normal temperature. Upon noticing your frozen product, leave it at room temperature for 24 hours before using it. Once it has fully thawed, it will perform as intended without any loss of effectiveness.
